Дополнительно: | Snip from blog: ‘The day had started poorly – cold, horizontal sleet and strong winds – so I was not keen to return to Llanddwyn, where I assumed the cloud would still be hovering, but it was Sunday, Carol was meeting me, she really need a walk and I wanted her company. I saw her waiting for me, cosy in the car under the warmth of the winter sun blazing through the windscreen. I waved and smiled but she didn’t seem to notice. We walked one behind the other, almost in silence, along the white seashell path and then forking right across the dunes towards the estuary and the sea beyond. Words increased, conversation expanded. A story became narrated, the landscape rushed by underfoot, superfluous to the twists and turns of the plot, history, chance, potential, logic. The expected bitter winter sunshine was, tonight, actually warm, or maybe it was just the chat, the friendship, the walk itself. Carol walked along the high road of dry sand whilst I manoeuvred amongst the patchwork of pebbly pools, but it was nice to still be together on these different paths. We left the sunshine as it lowered itself behind a vast stretch of cloud bank and we crossed the hill of endlessly shifting dunes back to the now shadier estuary. Here, above the shade of the dunes, the sun still made itself known, as a procession of clouds turned from orange to pink against the blue dusk sky, and of course became reflected in the sheets of estuary water, bringing light and colour into what would otherwise have been dark and grey. We held hands as we crossed the final dunes in semi-darkness back towards the vehicles, where she got into her car and drove off leaving me in darkness.’ This image is from my latest book, "Welsh Light" http://bit.ly/NmvUiq Blog: www.glynsblog.com Perhaps follow on Facebook?: www.facebook.com/glynsgallery |
