I really enjoy "trying" to turn modest photos into something that hopefully looks quite good. This image started off as one of those modest photos and has taken me the best part of 3 days to get it to the stage you see here. :-)
Most of the time it's pure trial and error and if I had to start again from scratch then it would be highly unlikely that I could reproduce this image exactly as you see it.
I do enjoy doing such things and would love to hear your thoughts.

Very interesting effect. It seems to me, what it looks like and on thick, but the wet watercolor, and a little bit of a relief. Nicely. If it is not a professional secret, how did you do it?

Thanks very much Anna - greatly appreciate your comments!
Not a professional secret. :-) For the life of me I honestly couldn't detail exactly what I did, and when I did it, as it was pure experimentation until I was happy with what I had. I used a wide range of filters and effects including watercolour and Bas Relief, some I used more than once. :-) I saved a PSD file whenever I felt that I was getting close to something that I liked and wanted - I have 24 PSD files! LOL :-)
Sorry that this is not much help.
All the best.
